Hopefully, I will find more time for cooking and sewing this autumn because I’ve got a whole lot of recipes and sewing patterns that I would like to share with you. Today, I’m sharing a quick & easy Classic Red Pesto recipe with sun-dried tomatoes. Let’s do this!
Ingredients for Classic Red Pesto
You will only need 5 simple and easy-to-find ingredients: sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, Parmesan Reggiano, olive oil, and sea salt. That’s it.
How to make Classic Red Pesto
Simply (1) combine all ingredients in your food processor and (2) process until you reach your desired pesto consistency. Done.
How to serve Classic Red Pesto
I usually serve this pesto with standard pasta OR I use it for my Pesto Pasta Salad (highly recommend!). Enjoy!

Classic Red Pesto
- 1 jar sun-dried tomatoes in oil **
- 7 tbsp pine nuts
- 7 tbsp Parmesan Reggiano freshly grated
- 6 tbsp olive oil ***
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- Add all Classic Red Pesto ingredients to a food processor and process until you reach your desired pesto consistency.
- Scrape down the sides of the food processor a few times to make sure there aren't any lumps of nuts remaining.
- Enjoy your homemade Classic Red Pesto!
