About this Sewing Project
I found the cutest sewing pattern for a Doll Clothes Set (seriously, isn’t it adorable?!). I wanted it to match the Julia Sweater (kids), which I made for my friends’s daughter Nora. Luckily, I had just enough fabric scraps left to make this gorgeous Doll Clothes Set by Lybstes.
Sewing Pattern for the Doll Clothes Set
The Doll Clothes Set by Lybstes (shirt, pants, beanie) is a quick & easy sewing project suitable for beginners to dressmaking. It comes with easy-to-follow sewing instructions (in German!) and lots of step-by-step pictures. I absolutely love this sewing pattern and was happy to pay for the full set (which you can find here – simply scroll down and search for “Puppenset”!). Having said this, there is also a free version available, which only includes the doll shirt.
My Version of the Doll Clothes Set
The Doll Clothes Set by Lybstes was designed for dolls sized 38-43 cm. Alternatively, you could use the sewing pattern for smaller dolls (30 cm) by simply decreasing the printing size to 75%.
You will need stretch fabric such as jersey, as well as some rib knit fabric. I used leftover fabric from the Julia Sweater (kids) to sew this matching Doll Clothes Set. It’s a great sewing project to use up all those fabric scraps as you won’t need much.
No notions needed (except coordinating thread!).
Tips & Tricks
Don’t speak German? No problem. The patterns construction is super simple and, as long as you have some sewing experience, you should be able to make this Doll Clothes Set by Lybstes just by looking at the picture booklet (it’s pretty much self-explanatory!).
The sewing pattern was quick & easy to assemble and sew. You will only need about an hour to complete this set. I used my overlocker but you could also use a sewing machine. Such a fun sewing project!
