About this Recipe
Eating veggies doesn’t need to be boring. If you come to my house, there’s a high chance that you’ll see veggie sticks (e.g., celery, carrot, bell pepper, cucumber etc.) with a Spring Onion Dip waiting for you (yes, crackers too!). It’s so basic but it tastes great and always disappears quickly. Also, it’s perfect for unexpected guests.
Ingredients for Spring Onion Dip
I usually have all ingredients on hand to whip up a bowl of this dip at any given time. Basically, all you need are crème fraîche, spring onions, sea salt, and black pepper. That’s it.
Also, you can easily make it vegan by substituting the traditional Crème Fraîche/sour cream with a vegan alternative (e.g., by Tofutti, Follow Your Heart, Earth Island, Dr. Oetker).
How to make Spring Onion Dip
Simply (1) combine all ingredients and mix well, and then (2) adjust salt and pepper to taste. Done. You’ll be ready for dipping in 5 minutes. How amazingly quick and easy is that?!

Don’t feel like eating veggies right now? No worries. This quick and easy Spring Onion Dip is my go-to dip for just about any occasion. You can use it as a topping (e.g., Healthy Zucchini Fritters, Crispy Smashed Potatoes), a spread for sandwiches (e.g., English Tea Sandwiches), or anything else you can think of. Spring Onion Dip
- 1/2 cup crème fraîche *
- 2 spring onions sliced
- pinch of sea salt
- pinch of black pepper
- Combine all Spring Onion Dip ingredients and mix well.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- That's it. Enjoy!
*16 tbsp = 1 cup
**I LOVE the Riviera Crème Fraîche and usually use 1 pot (120 g) for this recipe. Alternatively, you could also use sour cream instead of Crème Fraîche.
