About this recipe
Although I love starting my day with a sweet and creamy Green Breakfast Smoothie, I’ve been craving something a little different over the past few weeks. Something more refreshing on a hot summer day. I really wanted a healthy smoothie loaded with fruits and greens. That’s why I created this zingy little drink: WakeUp! Green Smoothie. Let’s do this!
Ingredients for a WakeUp! Green Smoothie
This summer smoothie is loaded with healthy ingredients: coconut water, spinach, pineapple, mango, lemon, lime. If desired, you can easily substitute the coconut water with filtered water (I prefer the coconut water version!). Also, if you’re more of a sweet tooth, simply increase the amount of pineapple and/or mango to taste.
How to make a WakeUp! Green Smoothie
To make this smoothie, pack your pineapple and mango into a bag and freeze it up. When you’re ready for your smoothie, add your liquid of choice and get after it. All you need to do is (1) blend the spinach and (coconut) water until smooth, and then (2) add the remaining ingredients and blend again until perfectly smooth. By the way, you can EASILY prepare this smoothie ahead of time. Simply prepare it the day before and store in fridge until the next morning.

WakeUp! Green Smoothie
- 1/2 cup of coconut water *
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup pineapple frozen
- 1/2 cup mango frozen
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 lime juiced
- Blend spinach and (coconut) water until smooth.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend again until perfectly smooth.
*Can be substituted with filtered water.
Quick Tip: If you're more of a sweet tooth - no props! Just increase the amount of pineapple and/or mango.
